International Relations

International Relations (IR) is a field of study and practice that examines the interactions between sovereign states, as well as between various non-state actors, such as international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multinational corporations. It encompasses the analysis of political, economic, and social relationships on a global scale, addressing issues such as diplomacy, conflict, security, trade, and human rights. The discipline seeks to understand how countries engage with one another, the principles that govern these interactions, and the consequences of these relationships for global peace, stability, and development. International Relations incorporates various theoretical frameworks, including realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theories, each offering different perspectives on how international systems function and how power dynamics shape global affairs.
