VTuber

A VTuber, short for “Virtual YouTuber,” is a content creator who uses a virtual avatar generated by computer graphics to interact with their audience, primarily on video-sharing platforms like YouTube and Twitch. VTubers often employ motion capture technology and animation to bring their avatars to life, allowing them to perform, engage in live streams, and create videos while maintaining a degree of anonymity. These avatars can range from anime-style characters to entirely original designs, mimicking human movement and expressing various emotions.

The phenomenon began in Japan but has since gained global popularity, with VTubers engaging in activities such as gaming, singing, chatting, and other entertainment forms. The interaction with fans and the unique presentation style differentiates VTubers from traditional online content creators, making them a significant part of contemporary internet culture.
